Wow - it's been awhile...

It's literally been years since my last post.  That last post I was just getting ready to set up my sewing room in Grand Junction, CO.  Well, shortly after that we found out we were moving, again, to Austin, TX.  At that point I decided I needed to put everything to a halt.  I stopped sewing, stopped unpacking, stopped everything.  It's kind of crazy how life works sometimes.  Looking at my last post gave me that horrible sinking feeling in my stomach again that happens every time we find out we are moving.  This past month I got out my machine and started making a few things.  It felt good to make and create something from scraps of t-shirts.  I know that I'll be doing more in the future and am excited to see what happens!  I don't think I'll fire up my etsy shop again, or sell in boutiques.  It will be just for fun and any custom gifts that people may want.  I made a few items for an auction at my kiddos school, St. Louis Catholic School.  Like I said - it felt good to get that creative side out again!

So, what have I been up to?  I started a part time job that I absolutely LOVE!  I am a group exercise instructor and teach BODYPUMP, BODYFLOW, and BODYATTACK.  It is such a blast and such a feeling of service.  I am helping others learn to love exercise and maybe learn a little along the way.  I'm also very involved in my kids school doing different volunteer activities.  Lastly, I've been teaching and learning more about essential oils these past 2 years.  I've been using them for almost 5 years now, but have taken it one step farther.  I have such an amazing team of people who share my passion for spreading health and wellness.
You can check out my "shop" at www.mydoterra.com/mountainoils

What do I hope to post in the future?  Maybe more crafts, oils, health, fitness... a little of all the things I love.  I'll slowly start updating my links, so be patient!

Peace out!

  1. I just started up my blog again like I said I would. Boy, it needs a good dust off and I'm not impressed with my own writing right now. So anyway, I started browsing through the old blogs I used to read on my reading list and saw your post from..ehem...over a month ago!! It's hard to get back in the habit isn't it? Life is just different now. No matter, I love the stuff you create and am a bit envious of your craftiness and Catholic school. :) Go Zags!
